- Cost: KES 1.5 per day, which adds up to KES 547.5 per year.
Now that we’re on the same page, let’s look at how to unsubscribe.
2 Ways to unsubscribe from Skiza tunes
1) Using USSD code
This is the quickest and easiest method:
- Open your phone’s dialer.
- Type *811# to access the SKIZA menu
- Select Manage Active Tunes (Usually option 5 or 6)
- If don’t see it, enter 98 to go to the next screen (for more)
- Alternatively, dial *811*5#
- Now go to My Skiza. A list of your active Skiza tunes will be displayed
- Choose the SKIZA tune you want to unsubscribe from.
- Select unsubscribe from the next screen
That’s it. Your tune will be deleted.

2) Via SMS
If you prefer texting, this method is for you:
- Open your messaging app.
- Create a new message.
- Type “DELETE” followed by your Skiza tune code.
- For example: If your code is 1234, type “DELETE 1234”
- Send the message to 811.
You’ll receive a confirmation message once your request is processed.
What to expect after unsubscribing
After you’ve unsubscribed:
- It may take up to 24 hours for the changes to take effect.
- Your callers will hear the standard ringback tone instead of your Skiza tune.
