The primary USSD code for accessing T-Kash services on Telkom Kenya mobile money wallet is *160#.

By dialing this code, customers can engage with the full suite of T-Kash features, which include:

• Sending money
• Buying airtime
• Withdrawing money at authorized T-Kash agent
• Buying SMS, Voice, and internet data bundles
• Paying bills, and more.

For specific actions like topping up with T-Kash directly, you would use variations of the main USSD such as 160*1#, but for most T-Kash services, *160# is the standard code to start the process.

Sending money via T-Kash USSD

To send money using T-Kash ussd, follow these steps:

1. On your Telkom line, dial *160#
2. Select the Send Money option
3. You will be presented with these options:
   • MPESA
   • Airtel Money
4. To send money from T-Kash to M-Pesa, choose MPESA
5. To send money from T-Kash to Airtel Money, select the Airtel Money option
6. Enter the Phone Number to send money to.
7. Enter the Amount
8. Review transaction details and confirm
9. Enter your T-Kash PIN

Upon a successful transfer, you should receive an SMS from T-Kash.

How to buy airtime from T-Kash via USSD

1. On your Telkom line, dial *160#
2. Select Buy Airtime
3. To buy for your current line, select Buy My Phone
4. Otherwise, choose Other Phone to buy for another Telkom line
5. Enter the Telkom phone number you want to buy airtime for
6. Enter the Amount, e.g. 100 to buy airtime worth KES 100
7. Review purchase details and confirm it to proceed.
8. Enter T-Kash PIn

Upon a successful topup, you should receive an SMS from T-Kash on your line, and another from Telkom on the line you just topped up.

Things to note:

• Airtime purchases cannot be reversed

Withdrawing money from T-Kash via USSD

1. On your Telkom line, dial *160#
2. Select the Withdraw Money option
3. Choose From Agent if you are withdrawing from a T-Kash agent.
4. Select From ATM if withdrawing from ATM
5. Enter the amount you wish to withdraw.
6. Confirm the transaction details.
7. Enter your T-Kash PIN to authorize the transaction.
8. You will receive an SMS with your T-Kash Code.
9. Give the agent your generated T-Kash code.
10. The agent will then process your withdrawal request
11. Receive withdrawn cash from the agent, and sign the customer transaction logbook

Buying data bundles from T-Kash balance via USSD

1. On your Telkom line, dial *160#
2. Select the Buy Bundle option
3. Choose type of bundle to buy
   • Voice Bundle
   • SMS Bundle
   • International Bundle
   • Mashariki Roaming Bundle
   • Internet Bundle
4. Example, to buy browsing bundles, select Internet Bundle option from the step above
5. Follow the steps to choose your bundle plan
6. Enter T-Kash PIN
